What personal data we collect and why we do so

We collect information about you (name and email address) when you contact us to arrange meetings or receive other email notifications

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor's IP address and user browser string to help spam detection. An anonymized string (also called a hash) derived from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using that service. The Gravatar service privacy policy can be found here: After your comment has been confirmed, your profile picture would then be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you want to upload images to the website, you should avoid embedding location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our website, you can actively choose to save your name, email address and personal website information as cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to enter this information repeatedly if you want to leave another comment. Cookies last for a year.

Other websites

Embedded Content from other Websites

Articles on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. book previews, images, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you are registered and logged in to that website.

With whom we share our data

We do not pass on any personal data to third parties. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Website analytics

To understand how our website is used and how we can improve your user experience, we use WordPress Statistics (Automattic) with Jetpack.

Used Data

For example, we can see that a particular link has 2,858 views, but not which users/accounts are behind it. Statistics logs - which contain IP addresses of visitors - are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used solely to enable this function.

Recorded Actions

Post Views, Page Views, Outbound Link Clicks, verweisende URLs und Suchmaschineneingaben und Herkunftsland.

You have the right to request a copy of the information held about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email us at the following address: hello(at)

We want to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You can ask us to correct or remove information that you believe is inaccurate or inaccurate. Please feel free to contact us via email or write to us by post to: Becota GmbH, Winsstr. 65, 10405 Berlin, Germany
